Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from San Diego State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Education from the University of San Diego (online). Jennifer began teaching at the San Diego Cooperative Charter School in 2005. She has taught grades 3-8 in mathematics, humanities, and science.


Teaching Philosophy

Jennifer teaches with a constructivist philosophy; she builds a relationship with her students, finds out what they already know, and builds upon that. Her lessons range from argument driven inquiry to project based learning to traditional learning. Her mathematical approach is to go from concrete to modeling to abstract to give students a deeper understanding of the concepts.
