Since then, she's been a middle school teacher (all subjects), a physics tutor, a math fellow, and an after school counselor.

Teaching Philosophy

Tressa finds relationship-building to be the heart of her educational philosophy. She takes a holistic approach to instruction with an emphasis on experiential and hands-on learning. Tressa is not fond of dry regurgitation, but instead, implements problem-solving and critical thinking activities to ensure that every learning unit engages her students to learn through trial and error. She blends a bit of traditional learning in her style but leans more to project-based learning.
